Really enjoyed watching Victoria and Albert: The Royal Wedding over the Christmas period. Lucy Worsley was as engaging and entertaining as always. As usual it didn't quite go into the details as much as I would have liked, but it was masterfully put together and an interesting exploration of an event that was so influential its effects can still be seen in the majority of weddings today. And I made an appearance too, in the guise of a maid 😊

As a surprise for Martin's birthday we visited The Ritman Library at the Embassy of the Free Mind in Amsterdam. He knew we were going, what he didn't know was that I had arranged for a curator to show him some of the rare books in their collection! We were privileged to handle some beautiful items from their collection and even got to film them. I'll post the links here as we update YouTube. |
